About the Team
Nicholas King | CEO & Founder
Nicholas is a Managing Director at Fort Point Capital, a registered investment advisor providing wealth advisory and risk management solutions to individuals, families, and institutions across the United States. Driven by a desire to combine his passion for music and business, he founded After Arts, a thriving community of professionals who share a passion for and background in the performing arts. Previously, Nicholas maintained an active career as a concert pianist and performed in major recital halls in seven countries, selling out both The Walt Disney Concert Hall and Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall. Nicholas had an early start in philanthropy; at the age of 10 he raised more than $35,000 for the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and was awarded the Congressional Medal of Recognition. He also founded the Art of Giving Back, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting young musicians and giving back to the community. He serves on the Board of Governors of The Mannes School of Music, the Board of Directors of the National Opera Company, and Advisory Board of The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Nicholas also holds a BM in classical piano from The Royal Conservatory of Music; an AD from Oberlin College & Conservatory; and an MM from The Juilliard School.
